The Food Standards Administration in the United Kingdom has ruffled feathers among those who have gone to great effort and expense to go green. They recently issued a report declaring organic foods to have no more nutritional value than normally grown food. In the past few years, organic food industries have been growing at a rate of 15-20% a year.

Organic food proponents have insisted that the organic lifestyle is healthier due to anti-oxidants and vitamins that are found in greater numbers in organically grown food, according to the Australian study issued in 2007. This study was four years in the making.

This latest report has experts in Kenya claiming that organic products are healthier due not to what’s in them but what’s not in them. They are stressing the avoidance of chemical residue in the organic lifestyle.

Most people who use organic products, whether organic skin care, organic cosmetics, or organic food, are usually quite concerned about the chemical content in their products. So, while some people are still claiming the validity of the earlier studies, many contend that the purity and removal of chemical influences of the organic lifestyle is healthy in and of itself.
