organic nutrition

In light of the rising cases of scary diseases like cancer, it’s important to know about organic nutrition. We know by now that the ability of our body to fight diseases is directly related to the food we eat. Therefore, it’s essential to know what we’re eating and how it’s affecting our body.

Organic Nutrition To Combat Diseases

The word “anti-oxidants” is becoming quite popular. Some people know what it is, while some have just heard about it.  Even the kids nowadays are talking about this “wonder” thing present in foods.

Anti-oxidants not only fight diseases, but also slow down aging. They are present naturally in high content in organic foods. This is because certified organic foods retain a large portion of their natural components

Eat 5 Portions Of Organic Fruits And Veggies

If you want to glow with health, you must have at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables daily.

Are you doing this?

If you find it difficult to eat such a large amount (it’s not that large actually) of fruits and veggies, here’s what you can do:

Eat a piece of fresh fruit (like banana or apple) during breakfast. Thereafter, eat two portions of fruit after lunch and two after dinner or in the evening. Your 5 portions of fruits are over!

You can finish off 5 portions of veggies easily by introducing raw vegetables in your diet. Tomatoes, cabbages, peppers, carrots, onions, cucumber, and radish are some of the vegetables that can be easily eaten raw. In fact, vegetables lose a part of their nutrients through cooking for a long period.

Organic nutrition doesn’t end here. You must take adequate quantities of fiber, which helps in digestion. It transports toxins and waste through your body and aids in bowel movements. Fiber rich foods are beans, figs, prunes, broccoli, peas, whole grains, and other plant materials.

Organic pumpkin and sunflower seeds as well as nuts contain high levels of the omega group of fatty acids. They increase the level of good cholesterol. You can include them in your diet in one easy way – sprinkle them on your salad or breakfast!

You can’t remain ignorant of organic nutrition in today’s times. Organic food, in one way, is the purity of nature right on your plate. Reap its benefits to the fullest.
