USDA Organic

To be USDA certified as organic, a product must not use chemicals that are harmful to the earth. This includes most pesticides that are used in crop growing. Farmers who grow organic crops may use an organic pesticide. These organic pesticides include the use of manure or other household environmentally safe products like a salt mixture or a soap mixture. Organic products are important for the revolving life cycle of the earth. The more we pollute our water sources and change the composition of our soil, the higher negative outcome we will have for our crops.

Crops are not the only organic product these days that are produced. Items such as organic baby products are also produced that make it easier to go organic. There are also lines of organic cosmetic items which include organic shampoo and conditioners and various organic skin care products.

If you are interested in living an organic lifestyle, then reading labels will be a major part of your shopping experience. Be aware of false advertising. There are companies that use false advertising like using a symbol or wording to give the impression that they are organic, when in fact, they are not. Being extremely knowledgeable and paying attention to details will help you to lead a healthy organic lifestyle.
