Benefits Of Organic Food – It’s Time To Go Organic!
There are many clear-cut benefits of organic food, or else why would a large number of people switch from regular food to organic. It’s not that organic food has some super levels of nutrients. It’s just that they are free from the toxicity of pesticides, chemical fertilizers, growth hormones, and other harmful compounds. Plus, they retain their nutrients better than non-organic food.
So, we can safely say that one of the biggest benefits of organic food is that they are free from pesticide residues. Thus, you need not worry about toxins accumulating in your body over the passage of time. In other words, these foods are safer to consume.
For example, when you eat an organic apple, you need not worry about pesticides getting into your body. What you’re receiving is just pure nutrients, nothing else. This does not happen when you eat a conventional (non-organic) apple. The skin of this fruit has pesticide residues. When you eat such an apple, you’re also ingesting toxins along with the fruit.
The next benefit from eating organic food is the high anti-oxidant level. The more raw foods you eat, better are the nutrients that you get. Deep-fried foods or those cooked for a long time lose a lot of their beneficial qualities.
It’s a fact, like it or not, that we’re absorbing fewer nutrients from our food today than some 6 decades back. The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) compiled research data that revealed that the conventional foods of today contain lesser amounts of minerals. The use of chemicals in the cultivation of crops has led to the depletion of soil nutrients. Thus, crops too contain fewer nutrients. Organic farming replenishes soil nutrients naturally and such soil is quite high in nutrients.
The talk about benefits of organic food spreading fast among the health-conscious people. However, it’s the lack of total information and awareness that’s deterring people from going organic in totality. Whether it’s your skin moisturizer, baby lotion, or a bowl of fresh fruit on the table, organic is the top word nowadays. Would you like to take-in pesticides along with your food? Obviously not!
So, it’s time to make a little alteration in your food plate and reap the benefits of organic.
